Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, distributor management, market expansion, and team leadership for the cosmetic product portfolio within the assigned region. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, strengthening channel partnerships, and enhancing brand visibility in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve regional sales targets and revenue growth.
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies.
- Expand market presence by appointing distributors, dealers, and retail partners.
- Identify new business opportunities in general trade, modern trade, and salons.
Distributor Management
- Manage and strengthen distributor relationships.
- Monitor distributor performance, stock availability, and secondary sales.
- Ensure proper product placement and market coverage.
- Negotiate commercial terms and trade schemes.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage Area Sales Managers / Sales Executives.
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular market visits and joint field work.
- Train the sales team on products, selling techniques, and competition.
Market Development
- Increase product visibility and brand awareness.
- Execute promotional activities and retailer engagement programs.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Gather customer feedback for product improvement.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS, and market reports.
- Track target achievement and regional performance.
- Ensure timely collections and control outstanding payments.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate/MBA preferred.
- 4–5 years of experience in field sales, preferably in cosmetics, skincare, personal care.
- Strong network in cosmetic distribution and retail channels.
- Experience in handling regional distributor networks and sales teams.
