Textile Fashion Designer
Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Textile Fashion Designer to develop innovative textile patterns, prints, and fabric concepts for apparel collections. The ideal candidate should have strong design skills, knowledge of fabrics and garment construction, and proficiency in design software.
Key Responsibilities
- Create original textile prints, patterns, and fabric designs.
- Research fashion trends, colors, and materials.
- Develop mood boards and seasonal design concepts.
- Produce sketches, CAD artwork, and technical specifications.
- Select fabrics, textures, colors, and trims.
- Collaborate with merchandising, production, and sourcing teams.
- Create tech packs and maintain product documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to ensure quality standards.
- Monitor market trends and competitor products.
- Ensure timely completion of design projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in textile or fashion design.
- Strong understanding of textile manufacturing and print techniques.
- Knowledge of garment construction and fabric properties.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or NedGraphics.
- Excellent creativity, color sense, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Experience
- Textile/Fashion Design: 1–5 years (Preferred)
