Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and passionate TGT Social Science Teacher to teach Classes VI–X. The candidate will teach History, Geography, Civics, and Economics through engaging, concept-based lessons while developing students’ critical thinking, analytical skills, and social awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach History, Geography, Civics, and Economics using activity-based methods.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and teaching aids.
- Use digital tools, maps, charts, and presentations for interactive learning.
- Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical, communication, and research skills.
- Conduct assessments, check assignments, and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, assessment records, and student progress.
- Participate in PTMs, meetings, workshops, school events, and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and coordinators for academic planning.
- Stay updated with CBSE guidelines and modern teaching practices.
- Follow school policies, child-safety guidelines, and professional standards.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Science or relevant subjects such as History, Geography, Political Science, or Economics.
- Candidates should have studied the relevant subject combination at graduation level as per applicable TGT eligibility norms.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/recognized school is preferred.
- Strong command of English communication.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, Smart Boards, Google Workspace, or other digital teaching tools.
- CTET qualification will be an added advantage.
