Role Description The Safety Manager Team Leader (Construction Industry) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role oversees day-to-day safety management at construction sites, including planning, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs in line with legal and client requirements. The Safety Manager Team Leader will lead and mentor a team of safety professionals, conduct site inspections and risk assessments, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Responsibilities include organizing and delivering safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for site personnel, as well as coordinating incident and accident investigations and preparing detailed reports. The role also involves liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, maintaining accurate safety documentation, and supporting audits, certifications, and continuous improvement in safety performance.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety, with experience applying safety standards in the construction industry.
- Proven ability to design and deliver Safety Training programs, including toolbox talks and induction sessions for diverse site teams.
- Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including risk assessment, hazard identification, and regulatory compliance at construction sites.
- Demonstrated expertise in Accident Investigation, incident analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Safety, Engineering, or a related field; recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Previous experience leading safety teams or supervising multiple sites in the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Strong communication, documentation, and report-writing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools (e.g., MS Office) and familiarity with audit, inspection, and safety management systems.
- Ability to work on-site in dynamic construction environments, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under time constraints.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
