Job Summary
Shriji Car Rentals is looking for a responsible and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repair of the company’s rental vehicle fleet.
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are safe, reliable, clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy, while minimizing vehicle downtime and controlling maintenance costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance, servicing, and repair activities for the company’s rental vehicle fleet.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and identify mechanical, electrical, tyre, battery, and other maintenance issues.
- Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance and periodic servicing as per manufacturer recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, repairs, insurance, PUC, tyres, batteries, and other maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate with authorized service centers, garages, mechanics, spare-parts suppliers, and other vendors.
- Monitor repair quality and ensure vehicles are returned to service within the required timeline.
- Conduct pre-rental and post-rental vehicle inspections and report any damage, defects, or maintenance issues.
- Track vehicle breakdowns and arrange emergency roadside assistance whenever required.
- Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts, lubricants, tools, tyres, batteries, and other maintenance consumables.
- Verify workshop and service-center bills and ensure expenses remain within approved budgets.
- Identify recurring vehicle problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with applicable safety, legal, statutory, and company maintenance standards.
- Coordinate closely with the Operations Team to ensure maximum vehicle availability and minimize downtime.
- Supervise mechanics, helpers, and other maintenance staff and allocate daily tasks.
- Prepare regular reports covering vehicle condition, maintenance costs, breakdowns, pending repairs, and service schedules.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety practices, discipline, and cleanliness within the workshop/maintenance area.
