Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior SDET / Automation Engineer with strong expertise in UI and API automation testing using Python and Playwright. The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable automation frameworks, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and validating backend integrations. Experience in Retail domain applications is highly preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI and API automation frameworks using Python and Playwright.
- Create automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate backend integrations, APIs, and data flow across distributed systems.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.
- Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and testing best practices.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Python automation development.
- Hands-on expertise with Playwright.
- UI and API Automation Testing.
- REST API testing and validation.
- CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar).
- Backend integrations testing.
- Test framework design and maintenance.
- Git version control.
- Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Retail domain experience is preferred.
