About the Role
We are looking for a WordPress Intern who is eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in website development and management. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of WordPress, HTML, CSS, and website administration and be interested in learning modern web development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining WordPress websites.
- Create and update website pages, content, images, and other website elements.
- Install, configure, and manage WordPress themes and plugins.
- Make basic website customizations using HTML and CSS.
- Assist with website testing, troubleshooting, and bug fixing.
- Ensure websites are responsive and user-friendly across different devices.
- Assist in improving website performance, SEO, and security.
- Manage website backups, updates, and basic maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to implement website changes.
- Learn and follow best practices for WordPress development and website management.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of WordPress.
- Understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Basic knowledge of website development concepts.
- Familiarity with WordPress themes and plugins.
- Basic understanding of responsive web design.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript or PHP.
- Familiarity with Elementor, Gutenberg, or other WordPress page builders.
- Basic understanding of SEO.
- Knowledge of MySQL/database concepts.
- Familiarity with Git/version control.
- Experience with creating or managing a personal WordPress website.
Eligibility
- Students or recent graduates from Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or a related field.
- Freshers with relevant skills and a strong interest in WordPress are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with personal projects or academic projects involving WordPress will be preferred.
