Role Overview
The role will play a key role in strengthening the knowledge, counselling skills, and communication capacity of Frontline Health Workers (FLWs) on maternal vaccination. The role involves delivering structured training sessions, facilitating capacity-building workshops, supporting government convergence activities, and ensuring effective implementation of programme activities across assigned blocks.
The coordinator will work closely with ASHAs, ANMs, Anganwadi Workers, Medical Officers, and district/block-level stakeholders to strengthen vaccination communication and counselling systems.
Key Responsibilities
● Conduct structured training sessions for Frontline Health Workers (ASHAs, ANMs, Anganwadi Workers, ASHA Facilitators, Supervisors, and other government health functionaries).
● Deliver training modules on maternal vaccination, counselling techniques, interpersonal communication, myth handling, and beneficiary engagement.
● Support implementation of pre- and post-training assessments and maintain training records.
● Facilitate orientation sessions for government stakeholders and nodal officers as part of the programme's sustainability and refresher model.
● Coordinate with Taluka Health Officers (THOs), Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), Medical Officers, ICDS teams, and other local stakeholders for smooth programme implementation.
● Maintain training attendance, field reports, documentation, and programme records.
● Participate in review meetings, monitoring visits, and programme documentation activities.
● Travel regularly within assigned blocks for training delivery and stakeholder coordination.
Eligibility Criteria
● Degree/Diploma in Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, Allied Health Sciences, Community Development, or related fields.
● Minimum 2 years of experience in public health programmes, community health, maternal and child health, immunisation, health promotion, or capacity-building initiatives.
● Prior experience in conducting training programmes, facilitation, community engagement, or IEC/BCC activities preferred.
● Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
● Proficiency in local language is preferred.
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned program geographies
