To ensure smooth mechanical operations, preventive maintenance, and timely repair of boilers, cookers, and associated mechanical systems within the rendering plant, minimizing downtime and ensuring safety and efficiency.
Key Duties
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of boilers, cookers, and mechanical equipment.
- Monitor and maintain steam generation systems, ensuring safe pressure and temperature levels.
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Conduct preventive maintenance schedules for pumps, valves, pipelines, and rotating equipment.
- Maintain lubrication schedules for motors, gearboxes, and bearings.
- Ensure proper alignment and calibration of mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with electrical and plumbing teams for integrated plant maintenance.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and raise purchase requests when required.
- Document maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and compliance records.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure adherence to plant operational standards.

Qualifications & Skills required
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance (preferably in boiler/cooker operations ).
- Strong knowledge of steam systems, pumps, valves, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Hands-on experience with welding, fitting, and fabrication is an added advantage.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and preventive maintenance practices.
