Lux Hospitals is a multi-specialty healthcare facility focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centric care. We're hiring an experienced Patient Care Coordinator to guide patients through their entire hospital journey — from OPD consultation to admission, surgery, and discharge.
About the Role:
This is a patient-facing coordination and counselling role, not a primarily clinical one. You'll be the single point of contact for patients, working closely with consultants, billing, and insurance teams to ensure a smooth experience. Some clinical support is involved (assisting consultants in OPD, recording vitals and history), but the core of the job is coordination, counselling, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patients through OPD consultations, surgery admissions, follow-ups, and discharge.
- Counsel patients and attendants on recommended procedures, financial estimates, packages, and payment options.
- Brief patients on pre-operative and pre-admission requirements.
- Assist consultants on the OPD floor and record patient history, vitals, and complaints.
- Coordinate with Insurance and IP Billing teams for approvals, admissions, and discharges.
- Maintain accurate records in HMIS and supporting trackers.
Who We're Looking For:
- Mandatory: Prior experience as a Care Coordinator / Patient Coordinator in a hospital.
- Healthcare background preferred.
- Comfortable with HMIS/ERP software and basic Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong communication in English, Hindi, and Telugu.
- Empathetic, organized, and good at multitasking in a busy OPD.
