Job Summary
The Service Technician is responsible for installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of equipment/machines at customer sites. The role ensures timely service support, customer satisfaction, and proper documentation of service activities
Key Responsibilities
- Attend service calls and resolve customer complaints on time
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines/equipment
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions
- Maintain service reports, job cards, and spare usage records
- Coordinate with the service manager and spare parts team
- Ensure safety guidelines and company SOPs are followed
- Provide basic technical guidance to customers
- Maintain tools and service equipment properly
Required Skills & Competencies
- Basic technical and mechanical knowledge
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Good communication and customer-handling skills
- Willingness to travel for field service
- Time management and problem-solving skills
Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma / 10th–12th with relevant experience
