Job Summary
We are looking for a Sales Officer to drive sales and business development in Cuttack and the assigned Odisha territory.
The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the dealer and distributor network, generating orders, achieving sales targets, maintaining customer relationships and expanding market presence.
Candidates with experience in Electrical & Lighting, Electrical Equipment or Electrical Accessories will be strongly preferred. Candidates with strong Dealer, Distributor or Channel Sales experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage dealer and distributor networks in the assigned territory.
- Identify and appoint new dealers/distributors.
- Generate orders and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Build relationships with dealers, distributors, contractors and customers.
- Conduct regular market visits and identify new business opportunities.
- Follow up on orders, deliveries and payment collections.
- Communicate product schemes, offers and pricing.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends and customer feedback.
- Support market expansion and brand visibility initiatives.
- Resolve dealer/customer issues by coordinating with internal teams.
- Prepare regular sales, collection and market reports.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline.
- 2–15 years of relevant sales experience.
- Experience in Electrical & Lighting / Electrical Equipment / Electrical Accessories preferred.
- Experience in B2B, Dealer, Distributor or Channel Sales preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Target-oriented and self-motivated.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned Odisha territory.
- Candidates with Cuttack/Odisha market knowledge will be preferred.
- Candidates currently working as Sales Officer, Senior Sales Officer or Sales Executive in relevant industries are encouraged to apply.
