Job Title: Electrician
Job Summary:
An Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. They ensure electrical work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install electrical wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, and control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and maintenance needs.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and equipment failures.
- Test electrical systems using specialized tools and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other tradespeople on projects.
- Respond to emergency repair requests when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship or vocational training program.
- Valid electrician license or certification (as required by local regulations).
- Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
