Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and technically sound Site Engineer to oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensure quality and safety standards, coordinate with project stakeholders, and monitor project progress at the construction site.
The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of structural work, material testing, site supervision, labor management, material usage, and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review structural steel layouts and Bar Bending Schedules before authorizing concrete pours.
- Oversee field tests such as concrete slump tests and cube compression tests.
- Verify incoming materials such as cement and aggregates against billing specifications.
- Manage and monitor raw material stock at the site.
- Schedule tasks and delegate daily workloads to site teams.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of work.
- Coordinate with architects, project managers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure structural harmony.
- Maintain daily work logs and document project progress.
- Prepare and maintain material usage charts and project timelines.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure work is completed as per project requirements and timelines.
- Inspect site conditions and enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance.
- Take necessary measures to minimize accident risks at the construction site.
- Ensure all building activities comply with applicable local building codes, environmental guidelines, and permit regulations.
- Monitor material usage and ensure proper utilization of resources.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve site-related issues and maintain project progress.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in Civil Construction / Site Engineering will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of structural construction activities.
- Knowledge of Bar Bending Schedules and reinforcement inspections.
- Understanding of concrete testing procedures, including slump tests and cube compression tests.
- Good material management and inventory control skills.
- Ability to manage labor and subcontractors effectively.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain site documentation, material usage charts, and project timelines.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices and PPE compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong problem-solving and site management skills.
