- Job Summary
Safebooks Global is seeking an experienced US Bookkeeper to join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions for US clients, including reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and financial reporting.The candidate should possess strong knowledge of US accounting principles, bookkeeping best practices, and accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero.
Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple US clients Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules Process payroll-related accounting entries Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation Coordinate with US clients regarding accounting queries Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting procedures
Required Qualifications
Education B.Com, M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CA, or equivalent qualificationExperience Minimum 3 years of US Bookkeeping experience
Experience handling multiple US clients preferred
Required Skills Strong understanding of US GAAP Expertise in AP, AR, and General Ledger Accounting Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations Financial Statement Preparation Payroll Accounting Knowledge Advanced MS Excel Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop Experience with Xero, NetSuite, Bill.com, Gusto, Stripe, and Square Knowledge of inventory accounting and month-end close process
Experience in outsourced accounting environment preferred
