About the Role:
FTCI is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Data Steward with 5+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Quality. This role will serve as the bridge between Business, Data Engineering, Analytics, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure enterprise data is trusted, well-governed, consistently defined, and AI-ready.
The successful candidate will drive data governance, data quality, semantic modeling, and stewardship activities across critical business domains such as Client, Account, Product, Sales, and Service. We are looking for a technology-savvy, solution-oriented professional who can build strong stakeholder networks, influence change without authority, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Business Data Steward is responsible for establishing trusted, high-quality, and consistently defined data across the enterprise. Combining governance expertise, semantic modeling, stakeholder influence, technology curiosity, and strong execution, this role enables better business decisions, trusted analytics, operational efficiency, and AI-ready data foundations.
Data Governance & Stewardship:
Drive governance adoption, stewardship processes, and data ownership across assigned domains.
Maintain business glossaries, critical data elements (CDEs), metadata, lineage, and ownership information.
Ensure governance standards and policies are consistently applied across business and technology teams.
Semantic Models & Business Definitions:
Define and maintain semantic models, business rules, taxonomies, and standard definitions.
Establish a common business vocabulary and consistent KPI calculations across systems and reports.
Resolve definition conflicts and drive a single source of truth for enterprise data.
Support trusted analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives through strong metadata and business context.
Data Quality Management:
Perform data profiling and identify data quality issues and improvement opportunities.
Define and monitor data quality rules, controls, KPIs, and scorecards.
Lead issue remediation, root-cause analysis, exception management, and stakeholder communication.
Improve data completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and reliability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery:
Build strong partnerships across business, technology, risk, compliance, and operations teams.
Influence stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.
Translate business needs into practical governance and data quality solutions.
Drive initiatives from concept to implementation and deliver measurable outcomes.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate and adopt new tools, technologies, and AI capabilities.
Promote data literacy and governance awareness across the organization.
Continuously improve governance processes, controls, and business outcomes.
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, Data Quality, Metadata Management, or related Data Management functions.
Experience with governance tools such as Informatica or similar platforms.

Familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, SQL, and cloud data platforms.
Experience with AI readiness, data cataloging, metadata management, and governance scorecards.
Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK and modern data management practices would be a plus.
