Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for endoscopy procedures.
Explain the procedure and obtain/check informed consent.
Assist the doctor during endoscopy procedures.
Prepare, check, and maintain endoscopy equipment and instruments.
Monitor the patient's vital signs before, during, and after the procedure.
Administer medications and sedation as prescribed.
Follow infection prevention and sterilization protocols.
Document patient assessments, procedures, medications, and outcomes.
Observe patients during recovery and provide post-procedure care.
Educate patients on discharge instructions and follow-up care.
Maintain patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
Respond promptly to emergencies and assist in resuscitation if required.
Ensure adequate stock of endoscopy supplies and report equipment issues.
