We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Public Relations Officer (PRO) to manage the hospital’s public image, communication, and relationships with patients, media, and stakeholders. The candidate should have experience in hospital communication, patient relations, media handling, crisis management, and branding in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with media representatives, government authorities, corporate clients, and community organizations.
- Prepare press releases, newsletters, media statements, and hospital communication materials.
- Coordinate press conferences, health awareness campaigns, and public events.
- Manage hospital branding and public image across all communication channels.
- Handle patient grievances and ensure timely resolution in coordination with hospital departments.
- Ensure excellent patient experience and satisfaction through effective communication and service recovery.
- Support front-office and patient relation teams in communication protocols.
- Plan and execute PR campaigns to enhance hospital visibility and reputation.
- Manage hospital social media communication and promotional activities.
- Coordinate with marketing agencies, designers, and vendors for promotional materials.
- Work closely with doctors, nursing, administration, HR, and quality departments.
- Ensure communication practices align with NABH standards and patient rights guidelines.
- Support quality and accreditation teams during NABH audits and inspections.
- Assist in preparing communication-related documentation and reports.
- Respond professionally to sensitive situations, complaints, or negative publicity.
- Act as a communication liaison during emergencies and crisis situations.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all external communications.
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a PRO, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Experience in NABH accredited hospitals preferred.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ambalathara, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
