About the Role
GRG Institutions is seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager – Purchase to lead and
manage the institution's end-to-end procurement and purchasing operations. The role
involves strategic sourcing, vendor management, procurement planning, contract
administration, inventory coordination, budget control, and compliance management to
ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement across the institution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational
requirements and budgets.
Manage vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
Handle RFQs, tenders, comparative analyses, and contract finalization.
Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
Oversee purchase orders, contracts, inventory management, and stores operations.
Monitor procurement budgets, expenditure, and cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements, GST, TDS, and
statutory regulations.
Drive procurement digitization through ERP systems and e-procurement platforms.
Lead and mentor the purchase team while collaborating with academic,
administrative, and finance departments.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
Master's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management,
or a related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of procurement/purchase experience, including at least 3 years in
a supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA (Operations/Supply Chain) or PG Diploma in Materials Management.
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, CIPS, or equivalent.
Experience in educational institutions, healthcare, manufacturing, or large multi-
location organizations.
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, RAMCO, etc.) and e-procurement
platforms.
