Position: Chinese CDP (Chef de Partie)
Department: Kitchen – Chinese Section
Experience: 2–4 years preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Chinese dishes according to the restaurant menu and standards.
- Handle Chinese wok, sauces, noodles, fried rice, starters and main-course dishes.
- Maintain consistent taste, quality, portion size and presentation.
- Complete daily mise-en-place and ensure all ingredients are ready before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the Chinese kitchen section.
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients and report shortages to the Chef.
- Work closely with the Sous Chef and other kitchen staff during busy service.
- Follow food safety, storage and temperature-control procedures.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
- Guide and support Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff when required.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of Chinese cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy restaurant hours.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
- Ability to maintain consistent quality and portion control.
