BandLadder is looking for a confident and result-oriented Sales Executive / Academic Counsellor who can counsel IELTS and PTE students, conduct demo/counselling sessions, explain our course plans, and convert interested leads into paid enrollments.
This is not only a teaching role. The candidate must be comfortable with sales, counselling, follow-ups, objection handling, and closing admissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel students interested in IELTS, PTE, Spoken English, and study-abroad exam preparation.
- Conduct demo/counselling sessions over Zoom/Google Meet or phone.
- Understand the student’s target score, exam date, current level, and preparation gap.
- Explain BandLadder’s live classes, AI practice platform, mock tests, study material, and course benefits.
- Follow up with leads after demo sessions and convert them into paid enrollments.
- Handle common objections related to fees, timing, trial classes, refund policy, and course duration.
- Maintain proper lead updates in CRM/Google Sheets.
- Coordinate with trainers and internal team members for demo scheduling and student onboarding.
- Achieve monthly sales and conversion targets.
- Build trust with students and parents through professional communication.
Required Skills:
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Prior experience in sales, counselling, admissions, telecalling, or EdTech sales is preferred.
- IELTS/PTE knowledge will be an advantage, but sales ability is more important.
- Must be confident in speaking with students and parents.
- Should be comfortable with follow-ups on calls and WhatsApp.
- Ability to explain course value clearly and close payments.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to update CRM/Google Sheets.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and target-oriented.

Compensation Structure:
- Fixed salary during probation, based on experience and performance.
- Additional incentives on successful conversions.
- Higher incentives for achieving monthly targets.
- Performance review after probation period.
Selection Process & Probation
Shortlisted candidates will first go through a pre-selection assessment process. This includes understanding BandLadder’s IELTS/PTE courses, pricing, platform features, counselling process, sales script, and objection-handling method.
Candidates may be given 1–2 supervised demo/counselling opportunities as part of the practical assessment to evaluate communication, counselling ability, student handling, and closing skills.
There will be no fixed salary during the pre-selection assessment stage. However, if a candidate successfully converts any student during this stage, they will receive a flat 5% commission on the collected payment.
Candidates who clear the assessment will be offered a paid probation role with fixed salary plus performance-based incentives. Final continuation will depend on communication skills, follow-up quality, demo handling, CRM discipline, and conversion performance.
