Position Summary
The Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital during assigned shifts and ensuring smooth functioning of clinical and non-clinical services. The MOD acts as the primary point of contact for operational issues, patient concerns, staff coordination, emergency response, and service excellence initiatives.
The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate across departments to ensure high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Supervise overall hospital operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure seamless coordination between clinical, nursing, diagnostics, pharmacy, billing, housekeeping, security, and maintenance departments.
- Monitor patient flow and bed occupancy to ensure optimal utilization.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and quality standards.
Patient Experience & Service Excellence
- Address patient and attendant concerns promptly and professionally.
- Resolve service-related issues and escalations.
- Ensure a positive patient experience throughout the care journey.
- Monitor patient feedback and coordinate corrective actions where required.
Staff Coordination
- Coordinate staffing requirements during shifts.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability across departments.
- Facilitate communication between departments for efficient operations.
- Support employee engagement and maintain discipline as per organizational policies.
Emergency & Incident Management
- Act as the first operational responder during emergencies.
- Coordinate disaster management and emergency response activities.
- Escalate critical incidents to senior management as required.
- Prepare incident reports and ensure timely closure of action items.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular rounds across the hospital to identify operational issues.
- Monitor cleanliness, safety, infection control, and patient safety practices.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and audits.
Revenue & Administrative Oversight
- Monitor billing, discharge processes, and patient documentation.
- Ensure smooth admission and discharge coordination.
- Support revenue cycle processes and address operational bottlenecks.
- Review daily operational reports and communicate key updates to management.
Vendor & Facility Management
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers during assigned shifts.
- Ensure uninterrupted functioning of utilities and hospital infrastructure.
- Escalate maintenance and facility-related issues appropriately.

QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Nursing, Life Sciences, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Pay: ₹14,283.34 - ₹50,000.00 per month
