About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) with proven experience in the software development industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, acquiring IT projects, interacting with global clients, preparing technical documentation, and bridging the gap between business requirements and technical teams.This role requires a combination of business development expertise, business analysis skills, strong communication abilities, and hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and client engagement.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Identify, generate, and qualify new business opportunities for software development services.
- Find and acquire IT projects through various channels including LinkedIn, Upwork, Clutch, networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
- Conduct cold calling, client meetings, discovery calls, and follow-ups with prospective clients.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners.
- Prepare proposals, estimates, presentations, and commercial documents.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to project closure.
AI & Technology Utilization
- Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or similar platforms for requirement gathering, documentation, proposal creation, market research, and productivity enhancement.
- Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and recommend process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must Have)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Development within the software development/IT services industry.
- Proven experience in finding and acquiring software development projects.
- Strong experience in cold calling, lead generation, client communication, and sales conversion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Experience in creating BRDs, SRS, FRDs, user stories, project scope documents, and proposals.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools for business and documentation purposes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CRM tools, project management tools, and proposal management platforms.
- Exposure to web, mobile app, cloud, SaaS, ERP, CRM, and custom software development projects.
- Experience working with international clients (US, UK, Europe, Australia, Middle East) will be an added advantage.

Compensation
- Annual CTC: ₹7 LPA – ₹8 LPA (Depending on experience and skill set)
- Performance-based incentives may be offered for successful project acquisition.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
