Position Overview
Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Nagapattinam, invites applications from qualified and enthusiastic educators for the post of Primary Teacher. The ideal candidate should have a nurturing approach, strong foundational teaching skills, and a commitment to holistic and value-based education in accordance with Chinmaya Vidyalaya’s ethos.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach primary classes (Classes I–V) as per the CBSE curriculum
- Create a joyful, safe, and engaging learning environment for young learners
- Develop students’ foundational skills in reading, writing, numeracy, and communication
- Use age-appropriate teaching strategies including storytelling, activities, games, and experiential learning
- Plan and prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching aids, and assessments
- Continuously assess student progress and provide constructive feedback and remedial support
- Maintain student records, portfolios, and progress reports
- Integrate ICT tools, smart boards, visual aids, and hands-on materials effectively in teaching
- Foster values such as discipline, respect, responsibility, and cooperation among students
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development
- Participate actively in school events, celebrations, training programs, and professional development workshops
- Collaborate with colleagues in academic planning and co-curricular activities
- Uphold school discipline, child-safety norms, and ethical standards
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree with D.El.Ed./B.Ed. or equivalent qualification (mandatory)
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level (CBSE preferred)
- Strong command over English and basic subject knowledge

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
