Job Description –Area Sales Manager (SPM, metrology)
Position: Area Sales Manager

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager / Sales Head
Role Overview:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, developing customer relationships, and expanding market presence within the assigned territory. The role focuses on achieving sales targets through direct customer engagement, channel management, and solution-based selling of machines, SPMs, and industrial automation products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow sales in the assigned area/territory.
- Identify and develop new customers, OEMs, and project opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
- Conduct techno-commercial discussions and prepare quotations and proposals.
- Coordinate with application, design, and service teams for customer solutions.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the area.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and ensure timely collections.
- Support channel partners / distributors, if applicable.
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and territory plans.
- Represent the company in customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of industrial / capital equipment sales.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to explain technical solutions clearly to customers.
- Target-driven, self-motivated, and result-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics (MBA preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in B2B industrial sales, preferably in machine manufacturing, SPM, or automation industry.
- Prior experience handling OEMs, EPCs, or project-based sales is an advantage.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
