- Continuously monitor the patient's vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and temperature.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and other prescribed treatments safely.
- Manage critical care equipment such as ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, suction machines, and infusion pumps, if required.
- Provide tracheostomy care, airway suctioning, and respiratory support to maintain a clear airway.
- Perform PEG feeding, nasogastric (Ryle's) tube feeding, urinary catheter care, and other nursing procedures as prescribed.
- Prevent complications by repositioning the patient, providing skin care, and preventing pressure ulcers and infections.
- Assess the patient's condition regularly and identify early signs of deterioration or medical emergencies.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including vital signs, medications, fluid balance, and patient progress.
- Educate and guide family members on safe patient care, equipment handling, and emergency response.
- Coordinate with the treating physician and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high-quality home ICU care while providing compassionate support to the patient and family.
