About the Role
Dream India School, Uluberia is looking for a dedicated, responsible, and enthusiastic Junior Section Class Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, patience with young learners, and the ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
The teacher will be responsible for the overall academic development, classroom management, and well-being of students in the Junior Section.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons for Junior Section students.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and create a safe, friendly learning environment.
- Develop students' basic academic skills, communication, creativity, and confidence.
- Monitor and assess students' academic progress regularly.
- Maintain proper attendance, classwork, homework, and student records.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' progress and development.
- Participate in school activities, examinations, PTMs, events, and other academic programmes.
- Use creative and modern teaching methods suitable for young learners.
- Provide individual attention and support to students who require additional assistance.
- Follow school rules, academic policies, and instructions of the school authority.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and the academic team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master's Degree in any relevant subject from a recognized university.
- D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) is mandatory.
- 2–4 years of teaching experience, preferably in a reputed/convent/English-medium school.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Good classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to handle young children with patience, care, and responsibility.
- Knowledge of modern teaching-learning techniques will be an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with digital teaching tools is preferred.
- Candidates should be punctual, disciplined, sincere, and committed to their responsibilities.
Salary
₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month, depending on qualification, experience, and performance.
