Switchgear Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd. is a manufacturer of high-voltage electrical equipment, including disconnectors/isolators and circuit breakers. We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead customer-site activities related to erection, commissioning, troubleshooting, and after-sales service of electrical equipment installed at substations across India.
The Service Manager will be the primary point of contact for customers for all site service requirements and will coordinate and manage the company's team of Service Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and respond to customer calls regarding erection, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of electrical equipment.
- Plan and coordinate deployment of Service Engineers to customer sites across India.
- Personally visit sites for critical erection, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer-support activities.
- Be willing to travel for a minimum of 10 days per month across India.
- Supervise erection and commissioning activities and ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Diagnose site problems and coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Testing departments for timely technical resolution.
- Manage and guide Service Engineers, including allocation of work, travel planning, site reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain records of customer complaints, site visits, commissioning reports, pending issues, and closure status.
- Ensure timely closure of customer complaints and obtain customer acknowledgement/service completion reports.
- Provide feedback from customer sites to internal departments for product and process improvement.
- Coordinate with customers, utilities, EPC contractors, and substation personnel during installation and commissioning.
- Support warranty-related inspections and recommend corrective actions where required.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Prior experience in erection and commissioning of electrical equipment at substations is essential.
- Experience with high-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, disconnectors/isolators, control panels, operating mechanisms, or associated substation equipment is preferred.
- Prior experience in handling and supervising Service Engineers/site teams.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, GA drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability at customer sites.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to undertake frequent travel across India.
Preferred Experience
5–10 years of relevant experience in erection, commissioning, service, or maintenance of HV/EHV electrical equipment in substations.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
