Job Summary
The Architectural Draughtsman is responsible for preparing accurate architectural drawings, construction drawings, and detailed plans based on design concepts provided by architects. The role requires proficiency in drafting software, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring drawings comply with applicable building codes, client requirements, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare architectural drawings, working drawings, construction drawings, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, ceiling layouts, door/window schedules, and detailed construction drawings.
- Convert conceptual sketches into technical drawings.
- Modify and revise drawings based on architects' comments and client requirements.
- Ensure drawings comply with local authority regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
- Maintain proper drawing registers, revision records, and document control.
- Prepare submission drawings for statutory approvals wherever applicable.
- Assist architects during design development and construction documentation.
- Visit project sites for verification, measurement, and coordination when required.
- Ensure all drawings are issued within project timelines while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of project information and company data.Required Qualifications
