Publication Designer (Executive) – Desert Group, Bangalore
Reports to: Marketing Team, UAE
Job Summary
The Publication Designer will create high-quality print and digital communication materials for Desert Group's multiple divisions. The role involves designing brochures, catalogs, company profiles, presentations, newsletters, books, reports, digital publications, and marketing collateral while ensuring strong visual hierarchy, typography, layout quality, and brand consistency. The designer will also prepare print-ready files and adapt content for digital formats such as interactive PDFs and e-books.
Key Responsibilities Publication & Layout Design
- Design brochures, catalogs, magazines, newsletters, books, company profiles, reports, and other publications.
- Create engaging layouts with strong readability and visual hierarchy.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations, pitch decks, and proposal layouts.
- Transform raw content into professional, brand-aligned communication materials.
- Ensure layouts are clean, organized, and audience-appropriate.
Marketing & Digital Design Support
- Create social media creatives, website banners, digital ads, emailers, and campaign assets.
- Adapt publications into interactive PDFs, e-books, online catalogs, and digital presentations.
- Support marketing initiatives across multiple Desert Group divisions.
- Maintain individual brand identities while aligning with overall group standards.
Brand & Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and editorial standards.
- Review designs for typography, formatting, alignment, spacing, and image quality.
- Maintain consistency in fonts, colors, margins, and design styles.
- Deliver polished, professional communication materials.
Print & File Preparation
- Prepare print-ready files with proper bleed, margins, resolution, and color settings.
- Coordinate final artwork delivery for production.
- Organize templates, assets, working files, and archives effectively.
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Work closely with UAE-based marketing teams.
- Support ongoing publication and marketing requirements.
- Stay current with design trends and publishing best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Publication Design, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Publication Design, Graphic Design, Layout Design, or similar roles.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brochures, catalogs, magazines, company profiles, presentations, and long-format layouts.
- Excellent knowledge of typography, grids, spacing, alignment, and page composition.
- Understanding of print production standards and digital publishing.
- Experience creating professional presentations and pitch decks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
Required Software Skills
- Adobe InDesign (Mandatory)
- Adobe Illustrator (Mandatory)
- Adobe Photoshop (Mandatory)
- Microsoft PowerPoint (Mandatory)
- Adobe Acrobat / PDF editing tools
- Canva (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of interactive PDFs, e-books, and digital publishing formats (preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Office-based role in Bangalore, India.
- Comfortable working with UAE teams and timelines.
- Ability to support multiple business divisions simultaneously.
- Experience with corporate brands, agencies, publishing houses, or design studios is advantageous.
- Industry experience in landscaping, architecture, interiors, horticulture, retail, or B2B services is a plus.
- Strong ownership, organization, and deadline-management skill

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
