Key Responsibilities
- Line Balancing: Organize and allocate labor, machinery, and raw materials to optimize sewing line efficiency.
- Target Achievement: Monitor hourly, daily, and weekly production outputs to meet strict shipment schedules.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality checks throughout the production line to minimize rejection and repair rates.
- Team Supervision: Train, motivate, and manage a team of sewing machine operators, helpers, and checkers.
- Wastage Reduction: Track fabric and trim consumption to control material wastage and reduce overall manufacturing costs.
- Safety Enforcement: Ensure all workers adhere to factory safety guidelines, including the correct use of machinery guards. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Degree or diploma in Fashion Technology, Garment Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- Industry Experience: Proven experience working on a garment factory floor, specifically with knitwear or woven apparel.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of garment construction, sewing machinery, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Problem Solving: Ability to quickly identify bottlenecks on the sewing line and implement corrective actions.
- Leadership: Strong communication skills to manage large, diverse groups of factory workers.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
