Role Overview
We are looking for a highly conceptual Senior Visualiser who can think, ideate, and translate powerful campaign ideas into striking key art visuals for films.
This role sits at the intersection of concept, storytelling, and design execution — someone who doesn’t just design, but builds the visual language of a film campaign from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campaign Ideation & Visual Thinking
· Develop strong, original campaign directions for film marketing (announcement, teaser, main campaign)
· Translate scripts, briefs, and discussions into visual metaphors and poster ideas
· Create multiple creative routes (10–15 mock directions) exploring tone, genre, and positioning
· Think in terms of impact, recall, and cinematic storytelling, not just aesthetics
2. Mock Key Art Development
· Create high-quality mock key arts (sketches / rough composites / AI-assisted visuals)
· Experiment with composition, lighting, mood, typography, and character placement
· Develop distinct visual identities for each route
3. Photoshoot Planning & Direction Support
· Translate chosen concepts into shoot-ready ideas
· Define character styling references, mood boards, lighting, and composition
· Collaborate with photographers and creative directors to match campaign vision
4. Post-Shoot Key Art Finalisation
· Lead final layout design of key posters post shoot
· Select best images and build hero compositions
· Ensure high-end finishing: light balance, cinematic grading, seamless compositing
· Lock final key art layouts ready for rollout
5. Campaign Consistency & Adaptation Thinking
· Ensure visual consistency across entire campaign
· Design with adaptability in mind (4:5, 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, outdoor)
· Maintain brand tone and recall value
6. Typography & Design Sensibility
· Strong command over title placement and typography hierarchy
· Integrate logo/title seamlessly into visuals
· Understanding of negative space, balance, editorial aesthetics
7. Collaboration & Leadership
· Work closely with Creative Director, Ideation Team, Designers
· Guide junior designers and maintain concept integrity
· Present ideas clearly with logic and storytelling
Skill Requirements
· Strong conceptual thinking ability
· Advanced Photoshop and compositing workflows
· Understanding of cinematic lighting and color grading
· Experience with AI tools is a plus
· Strong composition and storytelling skills
· Ability to think in campaigns, not single posters
Experience
· 5–10 years in advertising / movie marketing / design studios
· Experience in film poster campaigns preferred
What We’re NOT Looking For
· Pure execution designers
· People who only make things look good without thinking
· Template-driven mindset
What Makes You Stand Out
· Ability to create iconic poster ideas
· Strong visual metaphors and storytelling instinct
· Portfolio with originality and depth
