About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Academic Advisor to guide prospective and current students in selecting suitable academic programs and achieving their educational goals. The ideal candidate will provide academic counseling, support student enrollment, and ensure a positive student experience throughout their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students regarding academic programs, admissions, eligibility criteria, and career opportunities.
- Guide students in selecting courses that align with their educational and career goals.
- Follow up with inquiries and leads through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels.
- Assist students with the admission and enrollment process.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and admissions data.
- Coordinate with academic and administrative teams to address student concerns.
- Monitor student progress and provide ongoing academic support and guidance.
- Conduct orientation sessions and informational presentations for students and parents.
- Achieve admission and enrollment targets as assigned.
- Stay updated on academic programs, industry trends, and institutional policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counseling, relationship-building, and customer service abilities.
- Ability to understand student needs and provide appropriate guidance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in academic counseling, admissions, student support, or educational consulting.
- Knowledge of higher education programs, admission processes, and career pathways.
- Experience in telesales, educational sales, or student recruitment is an added advantage.
