Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Designer to join our Mobile / Containerized Design team. The ideal candidate will have 3+years of relevant experience, preferably in water treatment containerized design and new asset design engineering. This role requires strong engineering expertise, including the ability to review documents and drawings produced by the Gradiant Global Engineering Center in India and/or outsourced engineering consultants. Piping Designer will do Asset design and implement the asset design process, tools, best practices, safety reviews and team training / mentoring.
Responsibilities
Must be capable of providing conceptual as well as detailed design drawings of water treatment plant piping.
Requires experience with specification of piping, piping components valves, instruments, vessels, and other mechanical equipment.
Creating Piping Routing in AutoCAD Plant 3D with respect to Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and optimizing the Skids & Plant piping.
Develop 3D Models and ensure clash-free models in coordination with all other discipline requirements.
Preparation of Equipment layout, Skid piping GA, 2D piping layout, Isometrics, MTOs, pipe support drawings, Pipe rack design input, and Civil and vendor drawing reviews.
Should have experience with piping design standards with ANSI/IS/ASME piping specifications and layouts for water treatment plants. Must be familiar with relevant design & ASME, IS, DIN, and BS codes.
Confirm compliance with customer specifications for equipment and material types.
Review and approve 3D model, drawings and documents from 3rd party design companies.
Good communication skills in the English language with the ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written correspondence are essential.
Coordination with inter discipline, Vendor and clients
Ensuring engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities etc.
Collaborate with Engineering manager to plan and execute projects on time and on budgeted manhours.
Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and progress assessments to ensure project objectives are met.
Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure that all piping designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices. Conduct quality control reviews to verify design integrity and safety.
Contributes as a team member in the development of projects carrying out assigned responsibilities in a timely, diligent, safe and professional manner
Familiar with Gradiant’s new technologies, engineering design of Skids / modules, pipe supports, pipe racks.
Collaborate with QA/QC, and Manufacturing.
support the internal and external design reviews, safety and HAZOP reviews and maintain the document controls
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations throughout the Design lifecycle.
Requirements
BE Degree/ Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Similar)
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Water Treatments Design Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in 3D CAD using Autodesk Inventor. Exposure in AutoCAD, Solidworks and Autodesk Plant3D will be an added advantage but not a must.

Experience in plant and equipment design & detail engineering in the domain of Water and Wastewater Treatment is preferred or similar experience in the Oil & Gas, Chemical process and Power plants can be considered
Knowledge in global Mechanical design Standard, such as ASME and DIN standards
Proficiency in computer skills like MS Office, 3D model review.
Detail engineering of complex/ skid-based /module-based treatment / stick-built systems/plants.
Familiar with industry related standards and specifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of management.
Ability to travel as required for project needs.
Experience working in a multicultural environment and in an international business.
