Proofreader and Quality Control Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous Proofreader and Quality Control (QC) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will act as the final line of defense to ensure that all written materials, digital content, and publications meet the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and grammatical correctness. The ideal candidate has an exceptional eye for detail, a deep command of style guides, and the ability to maintain consistency across large volumes of content under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and Edit Content: Thoroughly inspect copy for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and typographical errors.
Ensure Consistency: Verify that all content adheres to company style guides, brand voice, and internal formatting standards.
Fact-Checking: Cross-reference names, dates, statistics, links, and factual claims against reliable sources to ensure absolute accuracy.
Format and Layout Verification: Check layout proofs, typography, alignment, and design elements to ensure visual and textual integrity before final publication or printing.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with designers, and project managers to resolve discrepancies and implement corrections smoothly.
Track Quality Metrics: Document recurring errors, maintain tracking logs, and provide feedback to content creators to improve overall output quality.
Manage Deadlines: Prioritize multiple projects effectively to ensure timely delivery without compromising on quality.
Qualifications & Requirements: Experience: Proven professional experience as a proofreader, copyeditor, or in a dedicated quality control role (publishing, marketing, or corporate communications preferred).
Key Competencies:
Obsessive Attention to Detail: The ability to spot the single misplaced comma or typo in a large document.
Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to question inconsistencies and logical gaps in text. * Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills to handle high-volume workloads
