Role Overview
The Dean – Student Affairs will be the primary institutional bridge between students and administration, ensuring student welfare, disciplinary governance, mentoring frameworks, and extracurricular development are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee student welfare, grievance redressal, and counseling frameworks across all programs.
- Manage student disciplinary processes in line with institutional policy and regulatory norms.
- Lead co-curricular, extracurricular, and student club activities including cultural fests and student governance bodies.
- Coordinate hostel management, anti-ragging compliance, and student safety protocols.
- Liaise with faculty advisors, HODs, and parents for student progress and behavioral interventions.
- Implement student engagement programs, orientation, and mentorship initiatives.
Eligibility
- PhD from a reputed university in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, or relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10–15 years in higher education with demonstrated experience in student affairs, counseling, or student administration at a university or autonomous institution.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution ability.
- Excellent English communication oral and written.
Key Conditions
- Candidates from West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and North-East states will not be considered.
- Minimum 3-year written commitment mandatory.
- Candidates in good overall health and capable of managing an active, people-facing leadership role are preferred.
