Role Overview
We're hiring a Production Manager to own shop-floor output, machine utilization, and manpower planning across our CNC turning operations, Lathe Machine & Sliding Head , ensuring on-time, in-spec delivery for export orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule daily/weekly production across CNC turning centres and Swiss-type lathes to meet order commitments
- Maximize machine utilization and minimize downtime; coordinate with maintenance on breakdowns and preventive schedules
- Manage shift operators, setters, and supervisors — allocation, attendance, discipline, skill development
- Ensure production aligns with quality requirements (PPAP, ISO 9001) and coordinate with QC/QA on rejections and rework
- Monitor and report daily production MIS — output, rejection %, machine downtime, manpower efficiency
- Liaise with sales/export team on delivery timelines and priority orders
- Drive process improvements for cycle time reduction and cost control
- Ensure compliance with safety (ISO 45001) and environmental (ISO 14001) standards on the floor
- Work within ERP system for work orders, job cards, and production tracking
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a production management role, preferably in CNC turning / brass or metal component manufacturing
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Strong working knowledge
- Experience managing shop-floor teams of 100+ workers
- Familiarity with ISO 9001/PPAP quality systems
- ERP exposure (SAP/ERPNext/Tally or similar) preferred
- Strong problem-solving and floor-level decision-making ability
Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
