Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified 1st Class Boiler Operator to manage and operate high-capacity boilers in a power plant environment. The role involves ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous steam generation while complying with statutory norms and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers (≥ 80 TPH, ≥ 60 Kg/cm²)
- Ensure safe start-up, shutdown, and continuous operation of boilers
- Maintain optimal steam pressure, temperature, and fuel efficiency
- Handle DCS/PLC-based boiler operations and coordinate with control room
- Monitor and control PRDS and auxiliary systems
- Perform routine checks of boiler parameters, safety valves, and interlocks
- Identify and troubleshoot operational abnormalities and faults
- Coordinate with maintenance, electrical, and instrumentation teams
- Ensure strict compliance with IBR regulations and safety standards
- Maintain logbooks, shift reports, and operational records
Eligibility Criteria:
- 1st Class Boiler Operator Certificate (BOE) – Mandatory
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical / Electrical / Relevant Trade
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in boiler operation
Mandatory Experience:
- Boiler capacity ≥ 80 TPH
- Working pressure ≥ 60 Kg/cm² (g)
- Experience in power plant / captive power plant / continuous process industry
Preferred Competencies:
- Hands-on experience in DCS/PLC-based boiler control systems
- Strong knowledge of boiler operations, safety systems, and interlocks
- Understanding of fuel systems, water chemistry, and steam cycle
- Good troubleshooting and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with PSU standards and documentation practices
Work Environment:
- Large-scale power plant/utility operations
- High emphasis on safety, compliance, and efficiency
- Exposure to continuous process operations
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts (Day/Night/Overnight)
- Ability to commute or relocate to Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh
