Role Overview
As a Freelance Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, introducing innovative menu ideas, and maintaining excellent food quality and hygiene standards. This is a flexible, project-based role suitable for chefs who enjoy creative freedom and working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present dishes according to CnC Social’s quality standards.
- Develop and refine seasonal and specialty menu items.
- Standardize recipes and portion sizes for consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Manage food preparation efficiently during service.
- Monitor ingredient quality and minimize food wastage.
- Train and guide kitchen staff when required.
- Collaborate with the management team on menu planning, costing, and special events.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a professional chef.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations.
- Creative approach to menu development and plating.
- Understanding of food costing and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and deliver under time constraints.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Availability to work on agreed schedules, weekends, or special events as needed.
