We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and automation testing to build and maintain robust automation frameworks for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in functional, regression, and API testing, along with exposure to Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Playwright and Karate Framework is a strong advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand business requirements and define test strategies.
Identify, log, track, and verify defects while ensuring timely resolution.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and Agile ceremonies.
Ensure test coverage, improve automation efficiency, and reduce manual testing efforts.
Prepare test plans, test cases, execution reports, and quality metrics.
Support production validation, release testing, and root cause analysis for production issues.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of automation practices.
Required Skills
4–8+ years of experience in Automation Testing.
Strong hands-on experience in Java programming.
Expertise in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, and automation framework development.
Experience in API testing using REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
Experience with version control tools such as Git.
Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
Hands-on experience with Playwright.
Experience with Karate Framework for API and UI automation.
Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Performance testing knowledge using JMeter or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in automation testing or Agile are an added advantage.
