Position Description: We are looking for an experienced Payments Production Support Lead with strong expertise in the Banking & Payments domain The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience supporting critical payment applications, strong technical skills in SQL/PLSQL, UNIX Shell Scripting, and experience working with payment engines such as GPP, Fedwire, CHIPS, SEPA, SWIFT, or Payment Gateway platforms.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Lead and manage the Production Support team for mission-critical payment applications.
Provide L2/L3 support for payment systems and ensure adherence to SLAs.
Monitor production environments, investigate incidents, and drive timely resolution.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
Work closely with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Business teams to resolve production issues.
Support application deployments, releases, and post-deployment validations.
Perform impact analysis, defect triaging, and incident management.

Write and optimize complex SQL/PLSQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation.
Develop and maintain UNIX Shell scripts for automation and operational support.
Participate in on-call support and weekend deployments as required.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
Ensure compliance with banking security, audit, and operational standards.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
8+ years of IT experience with strong exposure to the Banking/Payments domain.
Minimum 1 year of experience leading or mentoring a team.
Strong understanding of payment processing life cycle.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or similar.
Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Autosys or Control-M.
Exposure to ITSM tools like ServiceNow or JIRA.
Basic understanding of Java applications and middleware.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Banking or financial services project experience is highly preferred.
