About the Team and the Role:
The People Operations & Strategy team at Ather is responsible for providing cutting-edge
rewards, benefits, digital, and analytics solutions to enable a pioneering people experience,
keeping ahead of new trends and industry best practices.
This role is for a Compensation & Benefits Lead who will design and revise innovative reward
and benefit practices, manage compliance and audit readiness, monitor budget spends, and
deliver data-driven insights to support organizational growth.
Responsibilities
● Design, revise, and implement innovative, custom-fit rewards, benefits, and complex
reward instruments (such as ESOP, ESPP, SARS, and CCPS) based on market
intelligence.
● Directly manage annual and mid-cycle compensation revisions, compensation surveys,
monthly payroll inputs, and all related matters.
● Enhance the employee compensation and benefits experience through state-of-the-art
digital interface systems, dashboards, and processes.
● Own, benchmark, review, and communicate comprehensive people policies while
developing educational and communication programs on compensation offerings.
● Monitor compensation trends, manage budget spends, and provide data-driven insights
and analytics to support organizational efficiency and predict outcomes.
● Ensure all reward and benefit structures are fully compliant with applicable local and
cross-border rules and regulations.
● Enable audit and due diligence readiness by keeping robust controls and governance
processes in place.
● Engage with multiple stakeholders and operate independently or collaboratively to drive
overall operational efficiency.
Experience and Qualifications
● A postgraduate degree in people management from a top-tier institute
● Relevant work experience of 10 to 15 years, with preferred exposure to a start-up
environment and rapid organizational growth over a period of 2-3 years
Must Have Competencies
● Design of compliant compensation and benefit structures in accordance with local and
cross-border regulations
● End-to-end execution of compensation surveys, annual/mid-cycle revisions, and monthly
payroll inputs
● Structural implementation and management of diverse reward tools including ESOP,
ESPP, SARS, and CCPS
● Quantitative data modeling to derive compensation insights and present strategic
recommendations
Good to Have Competencies
● Data visualization and analysis utilizing tools such as Power BI, Tableau, R, or Python
● Spreadsheet modeling and presentation creation to simplify complex rewards structures
● Internal audit and due diligence management for compensation policies and processes
● Rewards consulting background with multi-industry exposure to people rewards and
benefits benchmarking

Pay: ₹6,000,000.00 - ₹7,500,000.00 per year
