Job Summary
The Site Supervisor (Civil) is responsible for supervising day-to-day construction activities, ensuring work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The role involves coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, labor, and vendors to ensure timely completion of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily civil construction activities and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and project specifications.
- Monitor labor productivity and allocate manpower efficiently to meet project schedules.
- Ensure proper quality control of RCC, masonry, finishing, structural steel, and other civil works.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, subcontractors, and consultants for smooth project execution.
- Verify levels, alignment, dimensions, and workmanship before and during execution.
- Maintain daily site progress reports, labor attendance, and work records.
- Ensure timely availability and proper utilization of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures and ensure all workers use required PPE.
- Identify site issues, delays, and technical challenges and report them promptly to the Project Manager.
- Assist in quantity verification, measurement of completed work, and billing support.
- Ensure housekeeping and proper material storage at the construction site.
- Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and quality teams.
- Support timely completion of work while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and statutory regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4–8 years of experience in civil construction projects (Bridges, Buildings, Roads, Industrial, or Infrastructure Projects).
- Fresh diploma holders with strong practical knowledge may also be considered for junior positions.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of RCC, shuttering, reinforcement, masonry, and finishing works.
- Basic understanding of surveying and level checking.
- Good knowledge of construction quality standards.
- Leadership and manpower management skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word, and reporting).
