We are looking for a detail-oriented Product Test Engineer with an interest in the Apple ecosystem and Mobile Device Management (MDM). The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of iOS and macOS device settings, manual testing methodologies, and Apple device management concepts. The role involves validating Apple-specific MDM features, creating test scenarios, identifying issues, and collaborating with development teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Perform manual testing of Apple MDM features across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices.
- Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on product requirements.
- Validate functional, regression, and black-box test scenarios.
- Test Apple ecosystem features such as:
- Control Center
- iCloud Sync
- AirDrop
- Device Settings
- Apple ID-related features
- Verify application installation methods on Apple devices:
- macOS: DMG and PKG installations
- iOS/iPadOS: App Store and Enterprise app deployments
- Create and validate custom MDM payloads and configuration profiles.
- Analyze system logs and crash logs using the macOS Console application.
- Use basic Terminal commands for troubleshooting and debugging.
- Work with tools such as Xcode and iMazing for testing and diagnostics.
- Report defects with clear reproduction steps and collaborate with developers for issue resolution.
- Preparing test planning, execution, regression testing, and release validation.
- Basic knowledge of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS device settings.
- Understanding of Apple ecosystem features such as Control Center, iCloud Sync, AirDrop, and related device functionalities.
- Knowledge of manual testing methodologies:
- Functional Testing
- Regression Testing
- Black-box Testing
- Experience in writing test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
- Basic knowledge of Apple application deployment methods (DMG, PKG, App Store, Enterprise apps).
- Familiarity with creating and testing custom MDM payloads.
- Basic knowledge of macOS Terminal commands for debugging.
- Ability to analyze system logs and crash logs using the Console application.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as:
- Xcode
- iMazing
- Exposure to Apple MDM platforms such as Jamf, Kandji, Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, Mosyle, or similar solutions.
- Understanding of Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).
- Basic understanding of APNs and Apple device enrollment workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in Manual Testing, Software QA, or Apple MDM testing is preferred.
- Freshers with strong knowledge of Apple devices, manual testing concepts, and a willingness to learn may also be considered.
- Exposure to enterprise mobility management (EMM/UEM) solutions.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools such as Jira.
