NPI Manager / Head NPI
The NPI Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans for the NPI department, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
Main duties / responsibilities
o Managing and optimizing production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure production schedules are met.
o Leading, training, and managing the Manufacturing Engineering team to improve overall team capabilities.
o Collaborating with other departments to coordinate production resources and resolve technical, quality, and cost issues during the manufacturing process.
o Overseeing the evaluation, quotation, technical support, and project follow-up for new projects, ensuring smooth transition into mass production.
o Promoting the development of production automation and information systems to increase the intelligence level of production lines.
o Managing the selection, procurement, installation, debugging, acceptance, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
o Developing and refining production-related process documentation, work instructions, and quality standards to ensure product quality.
o Ensuring a safe, clean, and organized production environment through effective shop floor management.
Collecting and analysing production data to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement in production management.

o Production Efficiency - Production Cycle Time & Equipment Utilization Rate
o Cost Management - Direct Labor Cost, Manufacturing Cost & Inventory turnover rate
o Quality Control Quality Pass Rate, Rework Rate & Scrap Rate
o Equipment Maintenance and Reliability - Equipment Failure Rate; Maintenance Time, Preventive Maintenance Completion Rate
o Continuous Improvement, Improvement Project Completion Rate, Cost Savings, New Technology Adoption
Automation Investment and Return - Return on Investment (ROI) for Automation Projects, Payback Period for Automation, Automation Integration and Scalability
Experience and knowledge required for the role
o Fastener industry required
o Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Material Handling, or a related field.
o Minimum 10 years in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a management role.
o Hands-on experience with heat treatment and plating processes is required.
o Experience in a similar role within the same or a related industry is preferred.
o Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, process optimization, capacity planning, and quality assurance systems.
o Proven ability to lead, coach, and build high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced production environment.
Familiarity with CAD, ERP, and MES platforms; experience with automation and material handling systems is a plus.
Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per month
