About the Role
We are hiring an experienced SEO & Google Business Profile (GMB) Specialist to manage organic SEO and local search performance for multiple service-based businesses. This role is ideal for a self-driven SEO professional with agency experience who can handle multiple projects, deliver measurable results, and work independently in a remote environment.
This is a full-time, long-term position with stable monthly pay.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Responsibilities
- Perform keyword research, competitor analysis, and industry trend research
- Optimize on-page SEO elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, schema, internal linking, site structure)
- Conduct technical SEO audits using Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and GA4
- Identify and fix indexing issues, crawl errors, page-speed issues, and Core Web Vitals problems
- Develop and execute data-driven SEO strategies to improve organic rankings and traffic
- Monitor KPIs and prepare weekly and monthly SEO performance reports
- Collaborate with content writers and designers to ensure SEO best practices
- Manage backlink outreach and high-quality link-building efforts
- Stay current with Google algorithm updates and SEO best practices
Google Business Profile (GMB) Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize multiple Google Business Profiles for local service businesses
- Improve local map pack rankings through category selection, keyword targeting, and service optimization
- Write, schedule, and publish optimized GMB posts with strong CTAs
- Perform regular GMB audits and fix listing inconsistencies
- Manage customer reviews (responses, spam removal, review generation strategies)
- Maintain NAP consistency across citations and directories
- Optimize photos, metadata, and geotags for better local visibility
- Track GBP insights and prepare performance reports
- Handle GMB suspensions and reinstatements when required
- Conduct competitor analysis for local SEO strategies
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (required)
- 2–3 years of Google Business Profile (GMB) management experience
- Prior digital marketing or SEO agency experience (strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of on-page, off-page, technical SEO, and local SEO
- Experience managing multiple clients or multi-location businesses
- Proficiency in tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, BrightLocal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus
- Must be fully available during Canadian business hours (EST)
Working Hours (EST – Canadian Business Hours)
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Compensation & Benefits
