Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Executive (Merchandising & Production Coordination) to oversee and manage the end-to-end garment production process — from order inception to final shipment. The ideal candidate must possess a solid technical understanding of garment manufacturing, fabric knowledge, and production planning, along with strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate efficiently between the head office, factories, and quality control teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Production Planning & Order Management
- Take complete ownership of order lifecycle — from order confirmation to final shipment.
- Develop and execute production plans in line with buyer timelines, capacity, and cost efficiency.
- Lead coordination between Head Office, vendors, and buyers for smooth order execution.
- Forecast potential delays, capacity constraints, or risks and implement proactive solutions.
- Handle multiple buyers/orders simultaneously while maintaining priority alignment.
2. Advanced Merchandising & Buyer Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for buyers for all merchandising and production-related communication.
- Interpret buyer requirements, tech packs, BOMs, and ensure accurate execution across factories.
- Lead buyer meetings, presentations, and virtual calls with confidence.
- Negotiate timelines, pricing adjustments, and delivery commitments when required.
- Ensure high buyer satisfaction through consistent communication and timely updates.
3. Production & Vendor Management
- Oversee multiple vendor factories and ensure adherence to production schedules.
- Evaluate vendor performance (quality, timeline, compliance) and recommend improvements.
- Drive vendor accountability for on-time delivery and quality standards.
- Coordinate capacity planning and vendor allocation for optimized production flow.
- Ensure smooth execution across all stages — cutting, stitching, washing, finishing, and packing.
4. Technical & Quality Leadership
- Ensure accurate interpretation of tech packs, patterns, and garment construction.
- Supervise fabric planning, consumption, marker efficiency, and cost control.
- Lead quality control processes — inline, midline, and final inspections based on AQL standards.
- Identify recurring quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Work closely with QA/QC teams to meet buyer compliance and standards.
5. Sampling & Development Oversight
- Manage end-to-end sampling process — proto, fit, size set, PP, and shipment samples.
- Ensure timely sample submissions with required quality and approvals.
- Coordinate with design and development teams for new styles and buyer requirements.
- Review samples critically and suggest improvements before buyer submission.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams — merchandising, sourcing, sampling, QA, logistics, and documentation.
- Ensure timely availability of fabrics, trims, and accessories.
- Align production with shipment planning, documentation, and dispatch schedules.
- Maintain seamless communication between on-field (factory) and off-field (office) teams.
