Engineer I – Field Service (Projects) Location & Role
- Location: Ahmedabad, India | Full-Time (On-site & Office) | Service Operations
Experience
- 6 - 8 years of experience or fresh graduate with exposure to HVAC/piping systems
- Basic exposure to chilled water systems, plumbing, pumps, and thermal systems
- Basic understanding of HVAC accessories and control systems
Job Summary
- Support design, execution, and commissioning of liquid cooling systems for data centres while developing technical expertise
Key Responsibilities Project Delivery
- Support execution of liquid cooling projects under guidance of senior engineers
- Participate in project meetings and assist in documentation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for site execution activities
- Assist in tracking project timelines and deliverables
- Support HVAC chilled water, plumbing, and fire line piping execution
Testing & Validation
- Assist in testing and commissioning of cooling systems
- Support data collection and basic analysis during validation
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
Service & Operations
- Apply basic knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
- Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities
- Assist in implementation of service bulletins
- Maintain documentation, reports, and site records
Preferred Criteria
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Basic knowledge of HVAC and piping systems
- Exposure to AutoCAD/Revit (preferred)
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn
- Basic problem-solving ability and teamwork skills
