We are looking for a Wine Sommelier who can provide guests with an exceptional wine service experience. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of wines, recommend suitable wines based on guests' preferences and meals, and serve wine professionally while ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and assist them in selecting wines.
- Recommend the best wine pairing with food.
- Present, open, and serve wine following proper service standards.
- Explain the taste, origin, and characteristics of different wines.
- Maintain the wine cellar and ensure proper storage.
- Monitor wine stock and report inventory requirements.
- Train the service team on basic wine knowledge and service etiquette.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of wine service equipment.
Requirements
- Experience in wine service or a similar hospitality role.
- Good knowledge of wines, grape varieties, and food pairing.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Professional grooming and a positive attitude.
- Wine certification is an added advantage.
