Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Blueprint Analysis: Studying drawings, specifications, and layouts to understand project requirements.
- Fabrication: Measuring, marking, and cutting sheet metal using tools like shears, lasers, and saws.
- Shaping & Assembly: Using press brakes, rollers, and bending machines to shape metal, then joining parts via welding, brazing, riveting, or bolting.
- Installation: Installing HVAC systems, ductwork, metal roofs, siding, and flashings on construction sites.
- Maintenance & Quality Control: Inspecting finished products for defects and performing maintenance on machinery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Experience with manufacturing equipment (e.g., CNC machinery, saws, shears).
- Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude for precise measurements and calculations.
- Physical Stamina & Dexterity: Ability to work with hands, lift heavy materials, and work in tight spaces or at heights.
- Welding Expertise: Proficient in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.

Educational/Training Requirements
